Domain History

The Domain of Athens was first set up in 1996 by a Coterie called the Founding Circle, as the staging ground for the retaking of Atlanta by order of the Ventrue and Gangrel Justicars. The first domain was betrayed by one of it's own and it's enemies were able to rip it apart while it's citizens fought among themselves. Years later, the domain was reformed with the backing of several elders within the Camarilla.

Domain Rumors

  • Athens is haven to a powerful, malevolent city spirit known as "Athena."
  • Interesting occurrences take place in the Domain every Halloween...
  • A Sabbat invasion swept through Athens in June of 2012. All Camarilla residents were either killed or disappeared.
  • Following the Sabbat incursion, Anarchs took advantage of the situation and moved into the Domain to make it their own.
  • The occupancy of the Anarchs was a brief affair and the contingency seemed to disappear from the city almost over night.
  • Athens suffers an "Anarch Curse," making stable Praxis seem almost impossible.
  • One of the remaining two double barreled cannons produced during the American Civil War is located in Athens.
  • Athens is home to "The Tree That Owns Itself." Be wary of it...

  • Hailing from Athens, R.E.M. was originally a band of ghouls until their Toreador regnant disappeared.
  • Michael Stipe has began rapidly aging and had taken refuge in his Athens mansion. This is the true reason why R.E.M. disbanded.
  • Every summer since 1996 the city has hosted AthFest, a non-profit music and arts festival in the downtown area.
  • The Georgia Guidestones location is actually the burial grounds for am ancient Methuselah. Vampires who venture into the area become violently insane and vanish into nothingness.
  • Lupines are an abundant and dangerous force within the Domain. Tread carefully.
  • The Technocracy lays claim to the most unlikely of places...
