Physically, she's around 6'1", with long, jet-black hair, pale skin, and green eyes. Nadya is never seen without makeup, sporting a signature bold red lip and winged black eyeliner. Known History

Nadya Markov’s story begins in the reign of Catherine the Great. Born Princess Yevpraksiya Inessa Valeriya Belosselskaya in 1750, a daughter of the noble house Belosselsky, descended from the first Russian princes and the Romanovs, she grew up in the family's vassal state of Beloozero before joining the court just after Catherine’s coup of Peter III’s reign. Princess Yevpraksiya was dazzled by Empress Catherine’s court and the western influences it had, and wholeheartedly supported the changes. Despite this, she was still female, and while she had a shrewd mind for politics and social manipulation, her only real value was in marriage and children. In 1772, she was married to a minor Count, Kirill Grigoryevich Razumovsky, after the death of his first wife in 1771. Despite being half his age, the couple outwardly got along well. Alas in 1775, Princess Yevpraksiya went missing following a party, her frozen body found in the Neva river several weeks later.

Behind the facade, Yevpraksiya was carefully groomed and selected for embrace by Irena Konstantinova. She underwent a strict accounting for nearly 3 decades, studying Kindred politics and following the changes in power of the kine world. She was eventually presented to Prince Evgeniya Bezuevaia of St Petersburg in 1825, where she received her acknowledgement into the Camarilla.

After her debut into Kindred society, she changed her name to Nadezdha Konstantinova, and began working for the lineage setting up back room deals and digging up secrets wherever she could. A staunch supporter of the Tzars and Imperial government as well as the Tower, she often found herself at odds with other clanmates who chafed at the strict governance. It was during this time that Nadezdha began to cultivate her own personal power base among the Thieves' World - a loose collective of peasant bandit organizations that would eventually become the basis for the Russian Mafia.

In 1848, her sire Irena introduced her to her lover and husband, Aleksandyr Ruskoff, and his newly embraced childe, Yuri. Nadezhda took an instant liking to her little brother, teasing and tormenting him. The four shared a Haven together in St Petersburg. Aleksandyr and Nadezhda did not always see eye to eye on things, as she was much more a traditionalist and supported the Tzar and the Ventrue.

Then the 1918 Bolshevik uprising happened. The clan split and fractured in Russia, and the fighting in St Petersburg was bloody. Aleksandyr was trapped and murdered by Anarch Brujah, along with many members of the staunchly Camarilla Markov dynasty. Only the timely intervention of Irena and Nadezhda saved Yuri, Irena holding the attacking Anarchs at bay while Nadezdha helped Yuri escape to a safe house. Once there, she left to aid her sire. In the aftermath, only 5 of the original members of the Dynasty were confirmed to have survived the assault. Their progenitor was missing, and the head of each lineage was dead.

In the wake of the uprising, Irena took control of the Markov dynasty, though she did not publicly take the name. Nadezhda changed her name to Nadya Markov and led the three branches forward while Irena grieved, grabbing at the last dregs of power left and solidifying the Markov dynasty’s hold on the underworld of St Petersburg.

Eventually, Nadya found out her little brother Yuri survived the uprising and left for the United States to find him. Yuri, aka Winston Warchild, was the Prince of Santa Rosa, CA, and a Tremere. Nadya is angry about the lies, but happy to discover Yuri alive. She stayed in the domain as his Sheriff until he abdicated his Praxis, returning to St Petersburg. She once again returned to Santa Rosa in 2019, professing to be on vacation, and was granted residency before taking the mantle of Sheriff once again. She moved from Sheriff to Primogen in 2020, and in January 2021, claimed the Praxis. In September of 2022, she lost her Praxis to Saskia Dietrich, but agreed to take the position of Primogen for the Brujah clan.
