Podem ser encontrados membros de todos os segmentos sociais, desde sem tetos em prédios abandonados onde gangues disputam controle do tráfico de drogas, até edifícios luxuosos de alta classe com piscinas particulares nas coberturas, entretanto o segmento mais dominante é a Classe Média Alta.

O maior segmento social pertence a Classe Média, composta majoritariamente por comerciantes, prestadores de serviço e funcionários da indústria pesada.

Embora o maior segmento social seja a Classe Média Alta, a cidade comporta a maior porcentagem de Classe Alta da Grande Vitória. O centro da cidade possui museus, clubes noturnos e bares sofisticados além de várias outras formas de entretenimento, de visitas programadas em antigos conventos no alto da montanha a cassinos clandestinos em boates. Já região mais ao sul não conta com o mesmo glamour da área norte, havendo muitos bairros rurais e mesmo favelas.
