Mortal Life

Valerian was born in the 1940s in Nevada near Reno. He grew up with a typical upper-middle class upbringing. Their mother was a stay at home mom and their father was a doctor. He took an interest in science from an early age and his parents supported this interest as he grew up and eventually started his career as a chemist.

Valerian went to medical school at the University of Michigan and that is where his connection to the midwest began. After graduating, they worked in research labs to gain experience before transferring those skills to a hospital setting. Back in Reno, their father was helping establish a research and development company that focused on the medical field. Once he became more experienced in the workforce, Valerian moved back to Nevada to work at his father's company. Around the age of 28 he became head of research. During this time, Valium was a huge development in the medical industry. When Valium was first introduced into the market, it was advertised as a general anti-anxiety medication. Valerian recognized the potential this drug had and decided to explore medical sedatives.

The new development of sedatives moved quickly. There were very few alternatives and Valerian started to build his wealth off of proprietary formulas that did not have a generic available. It was around this time his father wanted to become a silent partner and hand off the company to someone else. The natural choice was Valerian inheriting this company, and they accepted with enthusiasm.

In 2023, Valerian decided to move back to Ann Arbor due to the weak Camarilla presence in Nevada and he was already somewhat familiar with the area from when he was attending school. He still owns his pharmaceutical company but often works out of local hospitals to pursue projects that spark a personal interest.

Since becoming a member of the Washtenaw County domain, they have served as Primogen, Talon, Keeper of Elysium, and Consul.
