Character Information

Tori is a friendly, bubbly scientist and academic whose areas of expertise range from robotics to programming to criminal law. She supposedly collects doctorates as a 'fun side-hobby', for no reason other than the delight of learning and expanding her horizons. Despite her many fields of study, however, at her core she is an Attorney at heart - a woman with a zealous dedication to law and order, to justice and structure. Her friendly and affable behavior can quickly vanish in the face of perceived injustice, giving way to a sharklike ruthlessness in her pursuit of the victory of Right over Wrong.

She is known to invest heavily in mortal influences, including being the secret CEO of a multimillion dollar Tech Development company called 'Atlas Tech'. While not physically dangerous, she has made a reputation for being quite adept at utilizing her intellect and investigative abilities to the great benefit of her Domain and the Camarilla at large.

Known History

Tori doesn't talk much about her life before her Embrace. What is known is that she was born in Rapid City South Dakota, her mother an immigrant from Greece. She never knew her biological father, only knowing that she was the product of an arranged marriage that went sour for unknown reasons, resulting in her mother leaving for the United States. Her mother eventually married a police officer with whom she had a son, Tori's half-brother William.

It was at the end of Tori's freshman year in High School that tragedy struck the family when her father was killed when he tried to stop a convenience store robbery on his way home from work getting gas. The man who pulled the trigger was never caught despite a city-wide manhunt, and the event left the Parris home shattered - Tori especially so. Tori spiraled and fell into the grips of alcoholism and drug addiction for several years, but eventually an event forced her to snap out of the self-destructive path and cause Tori to put her life back together. After extensive hard work and a summer rehab program, she managed to eventually land a full scholarship in a prestigious Law School, eventually graduating summa cum laude. Before long she passed the bar, and established herself with a career as a criminal prosecution attorney. She established herself as a brilliant young legal mind - dedicated to the hard work behind the scenes, charismatic and passionate in the courtroom, and single-mindedly dedicated to justice and upholding law and order.

Through a mix of tireless passion and legal brilliance, Tori eventually found herself called to the Partners' office with the opportunity of a lifetime - to take the lead on a case that was of particular importance to some of the firm's key investors. She bit down hard at the opportunity, driving herself near to the point of madness as she tackled the case. Evidence was thin and the defense was well funded and well prepared, but she was able to pull through and landed a key conviction, putting several high-scale figures away for a very long time.

She didn't know at the time that she had just crippled the influence network of a Kindred made himself an enemy of House and Clan Tremere. And through her work, her brilliance had been noticed.

The Criminal Prosecution Attorney Tori Parris disappeared six months later. Evidence in her apartment showed evidence of foul play, and an investigation later revealed that she had been murdered for her role in the incarceration of these powerful people. Her funeral was attended by her mother, her brother, and the friends she had made at her law firm. Within three years, all records of her existence were quietly concealed - removing all records of her appearance and references to her name in news articles. By 2020, Tori Parris was all but forgotten save by those few who knew her well.

Little is publicly known about Tori's Accounting, or any of her history between when Clan Tremere faked her death in 2012 and when she arrived in the Twin Cities in 2024. What is known is that she spent those years in Quebec City, Canada. It didn't take long for her to make a positive impression after her arrival in the Twin Cities, providing technical and logistical assistance to her Domain which got her recognized as a rising star. Just a few months after her return to the US, Tori developed a program she referred to as Project Netmask, a viral program that she distributed through dozens of various apps that would reactively alter photographs and video recordings of potentially Masquerade-breaching media, which would soon be adopted by several Domains. Not long after, she spearheaded a project to establish herself as the CEO of a company named Atlas Tech, based in the Twin Cities, which aimed to be a regional spearhead of cutting edge technological innovations in all manner of fields ranging from telecommunications, computers, robotics and even weapons design.

In July of 2025, following the death of Prince Bradley Biggs, she was named Seneschal by the new Prince Matthew Schechter after his successful Praxis claim.
