In 1737, the Ventrue clan enticed Brigadier José da Silva Paes to secure Portuguese dominance in southern Brazil. He built Fort Jesus-Maria-José on the coast of Rio Grande de São Pedro and later established a village of the same name. The Ventrue elder Dom Paulo Francisco de Almeida Magalhães accompanied him on his expedition, settling in the village and making it his domain. Members such as Catherine Windsor, José Cipriano Valera, Lexys, Fera, Mongrovejo, Oleg, La Muerte, Loreta, Helena Crivelli, and Dom Afonso de Menezes were part of the first court.
For years, Rio Grande de São Pedro defended itself against the constant threats caused by the Spanish Sabbat. In 1835, the village was elevated to the status of a city, and the Ragamuffin War began.
In the following years, with the Camarilla well-structured and the Sabbat at a distance, the city grew considerably. This positive situation continued until 1998, when a meeting was held to discuss the large number of Neophytes in the city, and something unexpected happened: the eternal Prince of Rio Grande, Dom Paulo Francisco de Almeida Magalhães, was found dead, increasing tensions between the city's clans.
Initially, Astro Egoyan was accused of Ventrue's death, but the evidence points to the Malkavian Julius, who is captured by Romulus. From then on, the city's situation became frightening. Many well-known names emerged in the following years, unfortunately, many new enemies arose, and the Ivory Tower went through difficult times.
It is in this situation that Dom Cipriano José Valera returns to the city as Prince to set things right. Under his leadership, the Camarilla is restructured and many enemies are destroyed, expanding the Dominion's borders to the western frontier of the state. The following year, 2008, with the situation under control, Dom Cipriano José Valera continued his crusade against the Sabbat, leaving the city of Rio Grande.
This era was marked by a series of political disputes, constantly altering the praxis of the Dominion, leaving behind some prominent names, such as Ezequiel Schneider, Guillermo Bononne, Sebastian Frey, Isaac Hansen, Rômulo Medeiros, François Chevalier, Vincent Vartan, Leonardo Kennon, Oliver Widrik, Catherine Windsor, and Hassan Al-Hamed, the latter being the longest-lasting. Even with some problems, the Assamite remained a strong Prince for three years, until he was killed by assassins.
Catherine Windsor seized control of the Principality with force and elevated the Domains to an even more rigid level. Seen by many as a Just, yet cruel, Dictator, she decreed the immediate hunt and destruction of the Followers of Set throughout the South of the Country.
In mid-2021, Catherine is found in Torpor, and many speculations begin to swirl around the event. Seneschal Santorini assumes the role of Interim Regent until the investigations are completed, placing a new Stage of Praxis at the beginning of 2022, in a fearful manner.
In an open election, the Assamite Achmed is elevated to the new Prince of the Domains, carrying all the spoils of the Windsor Dynasty, with its burdens and benefits. Rio Grande enters an even darker New Era with terrible events plaguing the entire South.
Currently, power rests in the hands of the eccentric and mysterious Assamite Sko-Ello, marking the beginning of another turbulent chapter in the vampire history of Rio Grande.
Rio Grande, fundada em 19 de fevereiro de 1737, é a cidade mais antiga do Rio Grande do Sul. Localizada no extremo sul do estado, destaca-se por seu porto de relevância nacional, pela indústria naval e pela famosa Praia do Cassino (uma das maiores em extensão do mundo). É uma cidade histórica que mistura cultura litorânea, um centro histórico preservado e um forte pólo universitário e de pesca.
Em 1737 o clã Ventrue enviou o Brigadeiro José da Silva Paes para garantir o domínio português no sul do Brasil. Ele construiu o Forte Jesus-Maria-José na costa do Rio Grande de São Pedro e subsequentemente estabeleceu uma vila de mesmo nome. O elder Ventrue Dom Paulo Francisco de Almeida Magalhães o acompanhou em sua expedição, estabelecendo-se na vila e tornando-a seu Domínio. Membros como Catherine Windsor, José Cipriano Valera, Lexys, Fera, Mongrovejo, Oleg, La Muerte, Loreta, Helena Crivelli e Dom Afonso de Menezes fizeram parte da primeira corte.
Por anos, Rio Grande de São Pedro se defendeu da constante ameaça causada pelo Sabá espanhol. Em 1835 a vila foi elevada a categoria de cidade e teve início a Guerra dos Farrapos
Nos anos seguintes, com a Camarilla bem estruturada e o Sabá longe, a cidade cresceu bastante. A boa situação continuou até 1998, quando uma reunião é realizada para discutir o grande número de Neófitos na cidade e algo inesperado aconteceu: o eterno Príncipe de Rio Grande, Dom Paulo Francisco de Almeida Magalhães, é encontrado morto, aumentando a tensão entre os clã da cidade.
Inicialmente, Astro Egoyan é acusado pela morte do Ventrue, mas as evidências levam ao Malkavian Julius, que é capturado por Rômulo. A partir daí a situação da cidade se torna instável. Muitos nomes conhecidos emergiram nos anos seguintes, Infelizmente, muitos novos inimigos surgiram e a Torre de Marfim passou por tempos difíceis.
É nessa situação que Dom Cipriano José Valera retorna a cidade como Príncipe para colocar as coisas nos trilhos. Sob sua liderança, a Camarilla é reestruturada e muitos inimigos são destruídos, expandindo os limites do Domínio até a fronteira oeste do estado. No ano seguinte, 2008, com a situação sob controle, Dom Cipriano José Valera continua sua cruzada contra o Sabá, deixando a cidade do Rio Grande.
Essa época foi marcada por uma série de disputas políticas, constantemente alterando a Práxis do Domínio, deixando alguns nomes proeminentes, como Ezequiel Schneider, Guillermo Bononne, Sebastian Frey, Isaac Hansen, Rômulo Medeiros, François Chevalier, Vincent Vartan, Leonardo Kennon, Oliver Widrik, Catherine Windsor e Hassan Al-Hamed, sendo o último o mais duradouro. Mesmo com alguns problemas, o Assamita se manteve um Príncipe forte por três anos, até ser morto por assassinos.
Catherine Windsor assumiu o Principado com força e elevou os Domínios a um patamar ainda mais rígido. Vista por muitos como uma Ditadora Justa, porem cruel, decretando a caçada e destruição imediata dos Seguidores de Set por todo o Sul do País.
Na metade do ano de 2021, Catherine é encontrada em Torpor e muitas especulações começam a girar em torno do evento. O Seneschal Santorini assume como Regente Interino até que as investigações sejam terminadas, colocando no início do ano de 2022, um novo Palco da Praxis, de uma forma temerosa. Em eleição aberta, o Assamite Achmed é elevado ao novo Príncipe dos Domínios carregando todos os espólios da Dinastia Windsor, em seus ônus e bônus. Rio Grande entra em uma Nova Era ainda mais tenebrosa com acontecimentos terríveis que assolam todo o Sul.
Atualmente, o poder encontra-se nas mãos do excêntrico e misterioso Assamita Sko-Ello, marcando o início de mais um capítulo turbulento na história vampírica de Rio Grande.

They say the far south of Brazil holds more than wind and sea mist. In Rio Grande, every damp street and every old manor seems to carry secrets that were never truly buried.
The lands that now cradle the city were said to have been cursed long ago by the region’s native peoples. It was not a curse cast in blind rage, but a warning, a spiritual seal meant to keep what slept beneath the soil undisturbed. Yet humankind always digs. Builds. Invades. And everything that is forgotten eventually finds a way to remember.
In the vast silence of the Reserva Ecológica do Taim, some swear the howls heard at night do not belong to ordinary animals. Travelers speak of shadows walking upright among the dunes and marshes, eyes reflecting an ancient intelligence. Werewolves, guardians or predators, no one knows for certain. But they are there. Watching.
Beneath the rain-soaked cobblestones of Rio Grande, in forgotten tunnels and galleries no longer mapped even by the city authorities, something colossal crawls. A grotesque being, like a massive slug, pulses slowly in the depths. Some Nosferatu whisper that it is older than the city itself. Others say it is the city.
Farther south, in Chuí, there are reports of an invisible tower rising where the horizon meets nothingness. Invisible to mortal eyes, yet perfectly tangible to those who can see beyond. A circle of Assamite assassins is said to dwell there, silent as the border mist, waiting for contracts never written on paper.
In the historic heart of the city, the Catedral de São Pedro holds more than stained glass and prayer. At night, when the doors are closed and echoes rule the nave, some claim to hear dragging footsteps and murmurs in Latin. They speak of the ghost of a priest murdered at the altar, condemned to repeat his final prayer for eternity.
Among the Kindred, rumors persist of a powerful mage living quietly in Rio Grande. An unseen manipulator who bends wills as easily as paper. Some vampires swear they have felt his influence, decisions that did not feel like their own, inexplicable alliances, memories that do not quite fit. And then there is the name few dare to speak: Pietro Massimo Vermo. The Elder Nosferatu known as “the Worm.” They say he never truly left. That he changes identities as easily as skin. That he stands behind the city’s most terrible events, pulling invisible strings while others blame one another. If something horrific happens, there is always a trail that leads to the sewers.

In Bagé stands an old statue, forgotten by tourists and ignored by locals. Legend claims it was built atop the comatose body of the first Kindred to walk these lands. Not dead. Not alive. Trapped in eternal slumber beneath tons of stone and history.
And perhaps most unsettling of all: the spiritual realm of Rio Grande is more unstable than it should be. Mediums speak of tears in the Veil, more violent manifestations, echoes of pain that refuse to fade. Some scholars connect this to a series of fires that ravaged parts of the city in the 1940s. The flames did not consume only wood and brick, they burned something on the other side as well.
And so Rio Grande remains.
An ordinary coastal city to inattentive eyes. But to those who know how to listen, every corner whispers:
Nothing here is ever truly dead.
Dizem que o extremo sul do Brasil guarda mais do que vento e maresia. Em Rio Grande, cada rua úmida e cada casarão antigo parecem sustentar segredos que jamais foram completamente enterrados.
As terras que hoje abrigam a cidade teriam sido amaldiçoadas há muitos anos pelos antigos nativos da região. Não foi uma praga lançada em ira cega, mas um aviso; um selo espiritual para que aquilo que dormia sob o solo jamais fosse perturbado. Ainda assim, os homens sempre cavam. Constroem. Invadem. E tudo o que é esquecido encontra maneiras de lembrar.
Na vastidão silenciosa da Reserva Ecológica do Taim, há quem jure que os uivos noturnos não pertencem a animais comuns. Viajantes falam de sombras que caminham sobre duas pernas entre as dunas e banhados, olhos que refletem uma inteligência antiga. Lobisomens, guardiões ou predadores — ninguém sabe ao certo. Mas eles existem, e observam.
Sob os paralelepípedos encharcados de Rio Grande, nos túneis esquecidos e galerias que nem mesmo a prefeitura mapeia mais, algo colossal rasteja. Uma criatura disforme, semelhante a uma lesma gigantesca, pulsa lentamente nas profundezas. Alguns Nosferatu sussurram que ela é mais velha que a própria cidade. Outros dizem que ela é a cidade.
Mais ao sul, em Chuí, há relatos de uma torre invisível que se ergue onde o horizonte encontra o nada. Invisível aos olhos mortais, mas perfeitamente tangível para aqueles que sabem enxergar além. Ali residiria um círculo de assassinos Assamitas, silenciosos como a bruma da fronteira, aguardando contratos que nunca constam em papel.
No coração histórico da cidade, a Catedral de São Pedro guarda mais do que vitrais e preces. À noite, quando as portas estão fechadas e o eco domina a nave central, há quem ouça passos arrastados e murmúrios em latim. Falam do fantasma de um padre assassinado no próprio altar, condenado a repetir sua última oração eternamente.
Também corre entre os Membros o rumor de um mago poderoso que vive discretamente em Rio Grande. Um manipulador invisível, que dobra vontades como quem dobra papel. Alguns vampiros juram já ter sentido sua influência — decisões que não parecem próprias, alianças inexplicáveis, lembranças que não se encaixam. E então há o nome que quase ninguém ousa pronunciar: Pietro Massimo Vermo. O Ancião Nosferatu, conhecido como “o Verme”. Dizem que ele jamais partiu. Que troca de identidade como quem troca de pele. Que está por trás das tragédias mais brutais da cidade, puxando fios invisíveis enquanto todos acusam uns aos outros. Se algo terrível acontece, há sempre um rastro que leva aos esgotos.

Em Bagé, ergue-se uma estátua antiga, esquecida por turistas e ignorada pelos moradores. Reza a lenda que ela foi construída sobre o corpo comatoso do primeiro Membro que caminhou por estas terras. Não morto. Não vivo. Preso em um sono eterno sob toneladas de pedra e história. E talvez o mais inquietante: o mundo espiritual de Rio Grande é mais instável do que deveria ser. Médiuns relatam rasgos na Película, aparições mais violentas, ecos de dor que não se dissipam. Alguns estudiosos associam isso a uma série de incêndios que devastou partes da cidade na década de 1940. O fogo não teria consumido apenas madeira e tijolos, teria queimado algo do outro lado também.
Assim, Rio Grande permanece.
Uma cidade costeira comum aos olhos desatentos. Mas, para quem sabe escutar, cada esquina sussurra:
Nada aqui está realmente morto.
