• Mortal History: Very much a product of the privileged American upper class, Jade spent most of her childhood in international boarding schools. She earned a PhD in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. Her research and unparalleled academic success in her chosen field drew her sire's attention.
  
• Embrace and Accounting: Dr. Novak was Embraced in 2007 by Benjamin Miller during his tyrannical rule of Baltimore. Almost immediately, he sent her and her broodmate to study with his sire Brianna Novak in Cardiff, Wales. He never retrieved them as intended, however, as his time with the Camarilla became more turbulent and controversial. Dr. Novak, largely unaware of her sire's downfall, completed her Accounting and was Acknowledged by Prince Gawain Owen of Cardiff in 2011.
  
• Inherited Legacy: Not only did Benjamin Miller abandon his Humanity and renounce the Camarilla; by 2012 he was confirmed to have joined the Rebellion. Dr. Novak took her grandsire's name instead of his, and remained in Wales for the next five years learning to shoulder the burden of her sire's infamy and the stain it had left upon her lineage. In February 2016, Dr. Novak returned to Baltimore, her home city and the Domain her sire once ruled. Her intentions in the region most scandalized by her sire's treason remain to be seen.
