Known History

Mac has made no secret of his service during World War II. As a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division, he participated in D-Day, Operation Market-Garden, and The Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he took advantage of the new GI Bill to go to college to study psychology.

After his Embrace, records of McDonald's activities become scarce. Some rumors place him in a coterie hunting members of the Tremere Anti-Tribu, while others have him working Masquerade clean-up 'out East'. Regardless of the truth, by 1984 he'd dropped off the radar completely and didn't resurface until March of 2007 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Under the upstart regime of the Ravnos Tarnal Purhi-Dae, Mac volunteered as Sheriff. While Tarnal's Praxis ended in abdication in the face of Justicarial investigation, Mac remained Sheriff under the Brujah Henry Lynch, until he was promoted to Seneschal in September of 2007.

This lasted until January of the next year, when Henry Lynch was killed by lupines. In the wake of his death, McDonald claimed Praxis of Black Hawk County. In November 2009, he relinquished his Praxis to Rafello Martino of Clan Ventrue, and resumed the position of Sheriff which he has retained under Martino's successor, William Richardson.

In the mortal world, Mac has achieved some fame as a forensic psychologist, consulting with the Waterloo & Cedar Falls Police Departments, as well as the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
