+ | Chasyn was born on a very humid day with her 2 brothers in Crawfordville, GA. Smaller town of not even 500 residents so everyone knew everyone it seemed like. Clayton was born 8 minutes before she was followed 3 min later by Creedance and then after a grueling 5 min of labor pains, Chasyn came screaming into the world. They all lived in a 3 bedroom double wide trailer, her brothers sharing a room and she got her own. Her brothers were her biggest protectors growing up from bullies at school because she was smaller than the others in her class to their alcoholic parents who took their anger at their children more physically. They took the brunt of their parents anger as much as they could, including taking blame on things Chasyn had done so she wouldn’t be hit. Such was the way of her life until high school. She shyed away from most kids until then. She didn’t really know how to respond to anyone except her brothers. Her school would send letters home saying she was very quiet and withdrawn but very smart and ‘showed potential’ though she never spoke up in class to answer questions or read aloud. At home she would stay either in her room or go out back into the fields behind her family’s house and sing. It was her way to live another life, imagining being on a stage in front of thousands of fans screaming her name. Her brothers encouraged her and even picked up playing guitar and drums to play along with her. They were really good and won a few school contests to the shock of most of her teachers and peers who saw this complete other side of her come out on stage, but then would pull back into herself as soon as they were done. Her parents missed every one of their children’s shows. They had no support at home so the three of them did odd jobs around their town to make money. Babysitting, bagging groceries, yard work, dog walking, anything they could do. They still put money aside though to help their parents pay bills and such though. When she was a Senior her best friend talked her into auditioning for a local talent contest and she got second place and offered a record deal. She instantly took it and after a sad goodbye to her brothers left with her manager Jake Traynor. They started dating soon after she began her first tour and they seemed the cutest couple in public. People wrote articles about their sickeningly sweet romance and how they were the envy of so many young women. If only they saw what happened behind closed doors. In reality, Jake had a drinking problem and when he got upset, as was how she was raised, he swung at her. But this time she didn’t have Creed or Clay to protect her. She was on her own defending herself against his attacks. He would cry and apologize after every time and promise to never do it again. Each and every time she was convinced she had done something wrong and would take him back in her arms. It didn’t help that she would call her mother to ask her advice and her mother would tell her that she probably had deserved whatever he did and to make it up to him.
