Carter was embraced in the mid 1800s, and spent much of his early embrace decades under the Accounting of his sire. His first overt foray into Camarilla politics was in the Domain of Gainesville, FL, where he held every city position save for Sheriff & Prince, but including Primogen of the Toreador for a bizarre two weeks.
After the fall of Gainesville to the Followers of Set and their apostate pawns, Carter and the expatriates who migrated with him, took St. Augustine from the Sabbat. Here he declared Praxis, and ruled over America's Haunted Domain. During his reign is when he began to reach out and travel more, accruing allies and contacts throughout the Domains of North America.
In his time of rule, he and other Princes of the Southeast discovered a more insidious plot against the Camarilla in the form of infernalism that was spreading like a quiet plague amongst their domains. Alongside Princes from the Georgian domains, as well as those in the Bay area of Florida, a temporary coterie of powerful kindred of the South teamed to quell the inferalist plot, culminating in a final combat in the area of Brunswick, Georgia.
Soon afterward, he assisted the Domains of Carrollton & Savannah, Georgia in a sweeping maneuver to rid Northern Georgia of the Sabbat. The result of which was the return of the Domain of Atlanta to Camarilla hands. It was in this time that he received measures of standing from Prince Arich Dolen and Prince Julian Pratt for the commitment of time, resources and the assistance of St. Augustine to the fight.
His rule came to an abrupt end with an assassination attempt from the Florida Followers of Set and their Tampa apostates, which drove him underground. Still sore from their losses in North Florida, and pressure to give up gains in Camarilla territory, they attacked Carter during a Princes' summit held in Orlando, FL. It was during this time 'dead', that he was adopted into Clan Gangrel as a cover, and he became Primogen of the Gangrel for a period of time.
He was able to return to the public eye as himself at the Nonclave celebration in 2006, where he was voted 'best dressed' at the event, and where he lead clan Ventrue into beating a pre-infernal Eddie Glim and Clan Nosferatu at a Scavenger Hunt. Not long after, he began working closely with the Brujah Justicar's office. He served as either a servire or an Archon-in-training, depending upon who is asked, and was spoken as possibly being taken into service for the Toreador Justicar as well, as his skills and services were becoming to be in demand. Elements within his own clan however, ensured that he instead was taken on by Lucinde as an Archon to Clan Ventrue.
During his time as Archon, he's been in the presence of all of the Justicariate on more than one occasion. Twice before the assembled members of the Justicars, he's acted as the "Master of Ceremonies" at Conclaves in Minneapolis & Baltimore.
When he was not in the field working for his Lady, Carter tarries in his old domain of St. Augustine, assisting the Court there in nightly matters.
He has recently been released from duties as Archon to Lady Lucinde; now what is in store for 'Citizen Carter'?
Rumor has it, he is the "Prince" of Bermuda nowadays, using the island as personal Domain, running a 'resort' for Archons when they need a break, and as a staging place for Kindred moving from Europe to North America, and vice versa.

"That boy ain't right."
"Well, maybe if they'd stop temptin' folks with their 'super secret' magics that their clan can do, then folks everywhere wouldn't know about 'em."
Said about all of his Seneschals: "Of course he/she is insane. Always keep an absolute nutter as your second-in-command. They'll point out flaws in your plans that your sane mind overlooks, and if you ever leave for any time, they're in charge--which means the populace will clamor for your return, and beg you never to leave them again."
“The Followers of Set, in any of their particular denominations, follow a Theocratic system of governance that often is allied to the Camarilla. However, it is a foreign governance. While we may have ambassadors to said governmental body, and there may be Followers of Set that find refuge in the Camarilla, a Camarillan’s first and foremost loyalty will and shall always be to the holistic form of kindred governance, the Camarilla. Those who eschew this in order to follow the Theocracy of the Setites, forfeit their rights as a Camarillan citizen (although NOT their responsibilities), and risk finding themselves in violation of the Traditions of the Camarilla. The Camarilla does not otherwise care who or what you worship, as it is an a-religious governing body. Whenever a Theocracy of Kindred governance such as the myriad found underneath the umbrella of the Followers of Set comes into conflict with the Camarilla, patriots of the Camarilla shall follow their elders, not those of another, and independent clan. Doing otherwise is a betrayal of the blood.” -- An opinion given by Carter regarding the Followers of Set and the Camarilla, before the Society of the Hague.
