Known History

Paul served as Chicago's Brujah Primogen for much of 2004 before taking the position of Harpy in 2005. In April of 2006, Paul took the praxis of Kenosha, WI, following the death and wassail of former Prince Johnathon Carter.

Around 9 months into his reign, Archon Jean Val Pierre in service to Justicar Jaroslav Pascek very publicly declared that Paul was under investigation for undisclosed charges, and commanded Paul to leave his domain to report to him. Paul refused, insisting that an Archon did not have the power to summon a Prince of greater standing from his domain. He told the Archon that the onus was on him to come to Kenosha to finish his own investigation, and that Archons were not Feared and Empowered for the purpose of cowering behind their desks (this exchange may have given birth to the term "armchair Archon").

As the days wore on, and neither refused to budge, Val Pierre controversially proclaimed that Paul was impeding his investigation, and sought to use his powers as Archon to remove Paul's status. Paul, outraged, argued that Val Pierre had overstepped his authority, and demanded that a Judicial Conclave be held in Kenosha. Justicar Pascek obliged.

On April 25th, 2007, Paul was found guilty by Justicar Pascek, who overturned the jury's verdict as corrupt. For failing to find Paul guilty, Justicar Pascek placed the entire city of Kenosha under ordeal. Paul was taken away that night as a prisoner.

Three months later, Paul reappeared in the Midwest, having been released from Prague. After spending some time in his former domain, Paul made a second trip to Prague. Paul returned with news that Justicar Pascek had agreed to lift the ordeal, and that Paul would be joining Justicar Pascek's staff serving as his Commissar.

At the Minneapolis Conclave in 2008, Paul was the chosen speaker and clan elect for Clan Brujah. While making a speech which advocated against granting full membership to the Children of Haquim, Paul was interrupted by Justicars Petronius and Lucinde and asked to clarify his argument as to why the issue should be tabled, when Lucinde had expressly stated that it was not an option. Paul offered little argument for the Justicars, thanked them for their input, and took his seat. Paul later returned to the podium to support the reinstatement of a Gangrel Justicar.

In July of 2009, the Nosferatu Shade, a high-ranking member of the Dead Man's Hand, murdered Tasha X, the Prince of Chicago. In anger, Justicar Cock Robin declared that he would have vengeance upon each member of the Dead Man's Hand. As Paul, a known member of the coterie, was seen the same night attending a Grand Elysium in Columbus, OH, Cock Robin made his way to Columbus to begin his purge.

Having arrived, Cock Robin secured Rite of Destruction from Prince Hugo Valentine, and sent his Archons to bring Paul to appear before him. Paul, typically candid about his membership in the Dead Man's Hand, boldly entered the main hall of the Elysium, wearing a shirt which openly proclaimed his allegiance to the coterie, an illustrated grim reaper holding a hand of aces and eights.

Paul attempted to assuage Cock Robin's anger at the death of Tasha X, insisting that while her murder was the act of Shade, it was not the act of the coterie. Cock Robin, however, was unconvinced, and moved to attack Paul, but was prevented by Archon Saul Good who quickly restrained him. Mark Decker, Chief Archon to Justicar Art Morgan also intervened, placing himself between Cock Robin and Paul. Irritated, Paul tossed Mark Decker out of his way, and resumed his discussion with Cock Robin.

Though slightly calmer, Cock Robin was adamant that Paul be put to death for his membership in the Dead Man's Hand, but told Paul that he would be permitted to chose the city where he would die. Paul told Cock Robin he would present himself in Memphis within two weeks. Satisfied, Cock Robin permitted Paul to withdraw, where he was quickly pulled into a meeting with his clan.

Hours later, Paul emerged from the meeting, followed by an entourage of his clan numbering around 30. He approached Cock Robin and proclaimed before the entire court that he was cutting ties with the Dead Man's Hand, and renounced the group by tearing apart his Dead Man's Hand shirt in front of the assembled kindred. Cock Robin accepted his departure from the coterie, and in front of the City of Columbus, granted Paul the status of *Brave and *Loyal.

The next week, Paul kept his appointment to visit Cock Robin in Memphis, and was later cleared of any wrongdoing during his time spent in the Dead Man's Hand.

Paul can understand Justicar Cock Robin without the need for an interpreter.

Cock Robin was persuaded to spare Paul in 2009 thanks to the intervention of Prince Tatiyana "Anya" Pyotrevna.

Paul provided the lupine pelts for one of Tommy Truelove's fur coats.

Paul, excellent at providing entertainment, is one of the creators of the Brujah belt game. Years ago, he put an end to Kenosha's annual demon problem by turning demon hunting into Kenosha's official sport.

The Dead Man's Hand has not forgiven Paul for his public renunciation of the group, and seeks his death.

Paul, a friend of Antonio Salerno's and a supporter of Assamite inclusion in the Camarilla, was persuaded to deliberately tank his speech at the 2008 Conclave.

Paul once won a storytelling contest held amongst the Brujah by recollecting when, due to the unique laylines which flow through Kenosha, Paul once transformed into 8 foot tall kindred/cyborg hybrid, shortly after recovering the Spear of Odin. Multiple kindred later confirmed the story as an exact retelling of factual events.

Paul has possession of a Tremere Chantry in Kenosha, WI, confiscated under the rule of former Prince Stick DeSylvia. Paul has rededicated the chantry to the memory of Jacen Pompeii, honoring the final wishes of his deceased clanmate. Paul has also dedicated one of the building's recently installed water slides to the memory of Garrett Dannington.

Frustrated at a lack of quality Tremere leadership in the city, former Prince Stick DeSylvia fired his Tremere Primogen, removed his acknowledgment, and replaced him with Paul. Following an intensive regiment of team-building exercises, sensitivity training, and re-education, the Tremere regained their direction. Paul's colleagues on the Primogen Council unanimously proclaimed him the best Tremere Primogen the city had ever had.
