== Overview ==

'''Real Name:''' Likely not James Detwiler

'''Alias(es):''' Jim, Jimmy

'''Apparent Age:''' 45

'''Concept:''' Setite Archeologist

'''Physical Description:''' Dr. Detwiler is a white male in his early to mid-forties. He stands tall, around 6 feet, and even taller when donning boots, which is often. His attire varies from that of a sleazy club-goer to a black-tie socialite, with the predominant look being a dark jacket complemented by sunglasses.

'''Status:'''

== Known History ==

Detwiler's birth likely took place sometime in the 20th century. He recently mentioned celebrating his centennial. Publications under the name James Detwiler begin to surface from the 1990s in various archaeology journals. These journals indicate that Detwiler was a professor at Cairo University until 2011, Stanford from 2011-2014, and Johns Hopkins from 2014-2017. There are indications he ventured into the private sector post-2017.

He has mingled with the Camarilla courts of Los Angeles, San Francisco, where he received Acknowledgment in 2014, and Baltimore, where he maintains the title of Least Hated Setite.

In late 2022, after a 6-year hiatus, he resurfaced in Baltimore, reinstating his residency in 2023. He seems to have taken an interest in the craft beer scene of the Mid-Atlantic.

He and his fellow Setites were instrumental in breaking the Siege of Baltimore in 2023, achieving the most kills against the Sabbat invaders in several battles.

== Coterie ==
Detwiler often associates with fellow Setites Hearth Thorn and Thomas Roth. He calls them his accomplices.

== Allies ==
Detwiler remains cautious about forming bonds due to the stigma associated with being a Follower of Set in the Camarilla. Nevertheless, he maintains good rapport with:

Luthor Rommel

Lane Nichols

Elliott Maxwell

Alicia Knight

Virgil Deems

Gari Kowaleski

== Enemies ==
Though no specific individual can be pinpointed, Detwiler's Setite lineage invites general distrust.

== Sire ==
A mystery, though presumably a Setite.

== Childer ==
Potentially dozens.

== Broodmates ==
He has remained tight-lipped about any potential broodmates.

== Character Inspirations ==
Belloq

== Soundtrack ==
"Unholy" by Sam Smith and Kim Petras

"Paint it Black" by The Rolling Stones

"Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer

"Gods and Monsters" by Lana Del Rey

"A Little Death" by The Neighbourhood

"City of Delusion" by Muse

== Quotes ==
"History isn't written by the victors, it's written by those cunning enough to rewrite it."

"In the desert, you learn the value of shade, and in society, the value of secrets."

"Distrust in the darkness is society's flaw, not mine."

== Rumors ==

He maintains a clean slate given the Camarilla's expectations.

Dr. Detwiler has a disdain for other Setites.

He wants to become the first, well the second Setite Justicar.
