I am most excited for this years roast of Ms. Van Horne. She is a classy and elegant lady who will not doubt rise to the occasion. We should all certainly feel honored that she is taking time out of her busy schedule of laying on her back to attend the Midwinters event.

Regarding the Judicial Conclave of Tobias Hunter:

They exist, outside of the tales we were all told as children. We see them in obvious places, such as the rebellion known as the Sabbat, but they also lurk in more subtle locations. Members of the Camarilla,
On the evening of Saturday April 11th, 2009, a Judicial Conclave was called to order in the Domain of Las Vegas, Nevada by His Avian Excellency Justicar Cock Robin and Lady Justicar Maris Streck to decide once and for all the innocence or guilt of Tobias Hunter.
The following charges were levied against Mr. Hunter:
-Possession of Illegal Disciplines, learned from members of the Rebellion -Participation in Sabbat Rites and Rituals, including being a member of established Sabbat Pack -Forsaking personal Humanity to embrace a false moral path taught by the Sabbat -Leading a Sabbat siege on the Camarilla Domain of Chicago -Associations with the Giovanni that led to breaches of the Promise -Blood hunted in Domains in the Camarilla -Subversion of a Prince's right to rule their domain -Violation of the Traditions of the Camarilla
For approximately three hours Tobias Hunter was questioned by Justicar Cock Robin and Justicar Maris Streck, regarding each charge. Mr. Hunter presented his reasons, rational, and rebuttals against the charges. Those in attendance were allowed to present further testimony of Mr. Hunter's crimes against the Camarilla. Most notably Ms. Isabella Visconti, Archon Jack Sebastien, and Agent Dennison stepped forward. These testimonies included;
-Mr. Hunter's marriage to Ms. Phoebe Marx, former and deceased Prince of Chicago, their ill-formed plan which resulted in former Prince Marx abusing a Prince's right to call blood hunts by Blood Hunting Mr. Hunter in Chicago in 2000 in a political ploy, leading her on a dark path from which she could never recover from, her fall from grace, and ultimately, to her execution. -Accusations that Mr. Hunter assisting the Sabbat in the assault upon the domain of Gary, Indiana. -The rebuttal that the blood hunt of Mr. Hunter in Chicago in 2000 did in fact stand, despite Mr. Hunter saying that the Primogen Council overturned the blood hunt shortly after it was called. Archon Sebastien illuminated the fact that at the Conclave in 2004 Priomgen Councils were entrusted with the ability to remove Blood Hunts but they were not permitted to remove Blood Hunts previous to that Conclave.
Mr. Hunter stood before the Justicars and justified his actions and behavior, and stated that his supposed crimes were small in comparison of the crimes which he claimed are currently be committed against the Camarilla. He insisted that he was infected with Vicissitude, and that his Obtenebration was on record. Mr. Hunter insisted that everything he did was for the sake of the Camarilla and to serve those who were set above him in the Camarilla. He explained that he gave up on his humanity to be able to fight the necessary fights so the Camarilla would not need to do so. He beseeched the Justicars and those in attendance to understand why he was the way he was and who made him that way. What the Camarilla called his 'crimes' he insisted were 'sacrifices', including his diablerie - which he stated former Prince Simon Maddock of the domain of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois made him commit in order to become stronger and better able to assist in securing the Domain. He also claimed to have partaken in Sabbat rituals, such as the vaulderie, when he was under orders to observe and report back on the Sabbat activates.
After Mr. Hunter's impassioned speech defending his person Justicar Maris Streck announced the verdict of the judicial conclave;
"Tobias Hunter is a tool that no longer works, a weapon of a former age. He has personified the phrase, 'A monster I am, lest a monster I become.'
Though infiltrators and spies exist, we do not become the enemy in the process. And while there are shadow coteries dedicated to the destruction of the Camarilla and the Traditions upon which it was founded, we will not stand idle. The Camarilla exists to combat the beast and to support Humanity. To use the methods of the enemy is to become the enemy. Those tactics which were acceptable in the past are acceptable no longer. This is a new regime.
Perhaps mistakes have been made in the past. Perhaps the reaction to his Praxis some years ago was an overreaction. A very unfortunate overreaction. In the spirit of this new regime, the Camarilla acknowledges its role in creating the monster he has become. We are truly sorry, and we promise better in the future.
Tobias Hunter, you have been found guilty of the crimes laid against you. Will your last act be an honorable death for the Camarilla?"
Tobias Hunter submitted to the will of His Avian Excellency Justicar Cock Robin and Lady Justicar Maris Streck; he died honorably, his death was merciful and swift. The execution was witnessed by those in attendance at the conclave.
My Lady has also tasked me to convey the following message:
"As a result of this conclave, Shade is a person of interest. The Camarilla is aware of shadow coteries which are operating and are a threat to the principles and the purpose of the Camarilla, and we will be investigating them. Kindred with insight should come forward to report on the shadow coteries and any individual members. If anything should happen to those who come forward, the incidents shall also be added to the list of crimes being compiled."
